Collegian

The digitization of the Collegian, the University of Richmond's student-operated newspaper, provided a vital tool for explorations of the institution's twentieth- and twenty-first-century connections to race and racism. The Collegian Archive quickly became a rich resource for student research. Those in Race and Racism Project courses and past summer fellows have located dozens of articles extending over more than a half century where UR student journalists have engaged issues such as the integration of the University, racist incidents on campus, and student anti-racist activism.
